MEMORANDUM
SUBJECT:
Timing of DOH Acuity Survey of ADHC Programs
ABSTRACT:
Acuity survey for adult day health care will be posted on HPN in February 2008.
As members are aware, the Department of Health, with input from the ADHCC Acuity Survey Task Force, has developed a survey tool to measure acuity in adult day health care programs (ADHC).
We had been previously advised that this survey tool would be posted on the DOH Health Provider Network (HPN) in December, 2007. It was then further delayed “until after the first of the year.”
In a meeting on Friday, January 10, the DOH advised the ADHCC that they are going forward with the acuity survey, but that it will not be posted on the HPN until some time in February 2008.
The DOH also reiterated their commitment to provide the acuity survey tool to the ADHCC when it is posted on HPN. This will allow the Council to provide it to members who may not have access to HPN. Once posted, members will have adequate time (45 days) to complete the acuity survey process and report the results to DOH.
